Naming My Days

From my 43Things page:

I have discovered a wonderful website called Spirtuality and Practice which includes this concept, adopted from “A Thousand Clowns”, specifically from this quote:
You have got to own your days and live them, each one of them, every one of them, or else the years go right by and none of them belong to you. Herb Gardner
I’m not exactly sure how I am going to do this yet. I still have some time to figure it out. It just sounds like something that, when added to my gratitudes, will help me as I strive to be more aware of the life I am living.

After I wrote this entry, I noticed the quote on the 43T page, an Estonian proverb: “The work will teach you how to do it.” Therein lies the how!

So, I will practice my Lessons in Noticing by noticing the way every day feels and naming the feeling. I don't imagine they will all be shiny happy names because not every day is a shiny happy day.
